The idea for the CD “Life-Metronome” came up while listening to an interview of the Australian fingerstyle guitarist Tommy Emmanuel. This interview was about rhythm as the basic structure of life. While Tommy was talking about how he practices guitar with the metronome, the interviewer Hallerin suddenly asked him: Isn’t there a life-metronome, something like a life-rhythm? Then Tommy nodded with a smile and for a short time neither of them talked.
So the idea of a life metronome was born. A basic rhythm that beats in all of us. The question is: do we live according to it? Do we orient ourselves according to this basic rhythm?
During the opening speech of an exhibition by Luis Seiwald, a melody suddenly came to me, which I then played on my new guitar. For this I detuned the strings of the guitar. This song is the first on the CD and is called “Life Metronome”.
The collaboration with Luis Seiwald also brought a guitar painted by Luis, which you can see here:
Barbara Seeber has invented a new kind of drums, they are called “Planet-Drums”. These drums are something very special and I am lucky that they are also on the CD:
